Fresh Figs with Feta


If you live in a rural part of the Southern states, you may be lucky enough to have access to fresh figs. The figs grown in the south are smaller than the figs grown on the West coast, but no less delicious.

My mother came to visit yesterday, and with her she brought several gallons of figs she had picked just yesterday morning. I know I am loved!

The figs were beautiful! Plump and brown, without a single blemish to be seen.

I thought we should eat some right away, and we did, with just a little sheep’s feta cheese on each half.

A little honey would have been good, too, but honestly these figs were pretty sweet and just perfect with this mild feta.
